Thirty Days of Thankfuls

I am most thankful for:

*God- for his forgivness and his unconditional love for me no matter how sinful I am.
*Kyle- for being my rock and my best friend! I am so proud of his hard work he has put into our marriage and into his jobs. I am so thankful that he (and I) chose to give love a second chance, for rebuilding what was taken from him in the past, for being an amazing daddy, for going to paramedic school and doing something he loves to do (It's also very handy to have a medic in the household!) I'm also so proud that he has just been promoted to Lieutenant at the fire dept!

*Luke- he has been the answer to my prayer. I'm so thankful that I waited until I was ready and was married to the person I was going to spend forever with to start my beautiful family. Kyle and I prayed for a baby and God answerd our prayers with Luke. That little boy keeps our life so fun- there is never a dull moment! He is our little spitfire and we are beyond blessed!
*Ashlyn- the best most beautiful bonus daughter I could have asked for!
*My roommates- aka my parents : ) For their love and support and especially for the roof over our heads right now! I'm thankful for them being the best role models to me!
*My in-laws- They have taken me in as their "daughter" and have always been there for us!
*My grandparents- My Nana (that I'm named after) and my Papa. I'm so happy they have gotten to watch their great grandchild grow these last 18 months!  Also thankful for my grandparents in heaven (Mamaw and Papaw) that I know are watching down on us.
*My job- I'm so lucky to work for such an awesome company for 7 years now!
*My dogs-Lucy of 9 years and Jackie of 8 years
*The tough times- financial struggles have brought me a lot closer to God (to pray without ceasing and to trust Him) and taught me that I can  make it with a lot less than what I have and to show me what's really important in life.
*Luke's daycare- A wonderful place for him to learn and grow....his favorite place to be!!!
*Luke's teachers- They love my little boy as if he was their own! When he walks right into his classroom everyday, waves bye-bye and blows me a kiss,  runs up to his teacher and gives her a hug I know that he's in the right place! Thank you, God,  for those wonderful girls in my boy's life!
*Pinelake- it may not be the church that we're members of... but it has become our church home! Where the sermons are so good that I never want them to end!!!!
*Fried food (well really any food)  -hey not everything in life is serious...no, actually food is very serious for me! I can get mean when it comes to food... just ask Kyle ; ) I love to eat!!!
*Double Stuf Oreos with milk (Have to have this every night before bed!)
*Crock Pots- I think we would probably starve without ours :)
*Music - such a stress reliever!
*Boots & skinny jeans
*Scrub pants - for those lazy days  : )
*Tailgaiting in the Grove with my hubby and friends and watching Ole Miss beat State!!!!!!! : )
*A Blondie from Cups!
*Mascato
*Brandon High School making it to state championship-- GO DAWGS!!!
*The 'I love you's'  from the hubby.
*Getting to celebrate Christmas at my parents home this year.... Brings back memories : )
*Kyle being off on New Year's Eve to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary!!!!
*Luke having Trey's name for his middle name.
*Lunch dates with Kyle
*My health
*& the sweet kisses from Kyle every night before bed!

Some are serious and some are just plain guilty pleasures in life, but
this list could go on and on....

I'm blessed beyond measure.

Happy 18 Months!

It's hard to believe our sweet lil' boy is already 18 months! Where has the time gone?!
Luke's vocabulary has grown so much! It's amazing listening to him talk and repeat things and get so excited about his new accomplishments!
 He loves:
playing Peek-A-Boo, ball, chasing us down the hall and then us chasing him, bananas, books, animals, being outside (he would live outside if we'd let him!), climbing, sweet tea, giving kisses, giving high-fives, Mcdonalds, going to the park and 4 wheelers!

helping Mama wash dishes

playing peek-a-boo in the pile of clothes!

obsessed with 4 wheelers

climbing, climbing, climbing!!!

Lunch date with Mama to McDonald's for a cheeseburger and fries!

Happy 18 months, Luke! Thank you for bringing so much fun and sunshine to our lives! We love your crazy, fun, wild little self so much!!!

Happy Halloween Eve!!

One of the perks of Luke being in daycare- all the fun stuff they do!! I love all the cool artwork he brings home everyday and especially love the parties they have! Oh, and I'm probably one of the coolest classroom moms... seriously!
Look what I made for all of Luke's friends today for their Halloween party!

Trick-or-treating at school with his friends!

"fill 'er up!"

Party's over, mom.... Let's go!!

This was so much fun- I can't imagine how much fun trick-or-treating will be tomorrow!!!

Another Batson Trip

One thing I have learned as a Mama... never make plans. Why? Because something is always going to come up... always. Like, for instance, we were supposed to take Luke to the Hayride/Tent or Treat Fall Fest at church Sunday evening. Well, Luke had some kind of craziness going on with his leg. when I say craziness... the poor kid couldn't even walk on his right leg. He kept falling down and limping. We noticed this on Saturday and he was still doing it Sunday. Sooo... when we realized it wasn't going to get any better Kyle decided we would head to Batson after we dropped Ashlyn off.
X-Rays came back that everything was fine- no broken bones or messed up hips. Kyle got to be the bad guy and hold him down for that : (
Next step- blood work. UGH... the dreaded blood work. Poor baby. That absolutely breaks my heart when they give him an I.V., so I sat in the hallway and cried while daddy had to be the bad guy again and hold him down : (  (but Daddy is much better at that since he deals with blood, needles and stuff everyday...stuff I can't handle!)
Blood work came back and his white blood count was very high which meant an infection somwhere .. They determined it's a viral infection and he has what's called Transient Synovitis (go figure... Only Luke would have something crazy like that!) And yeah, I had to google it ha. If you don't want to google it- it means that it's hip/joint inflammation and pain due to an infection in the body. It should heal on its own in a couple days (we hope!) Now we just wait and see if we can get the blood count down.
If there is something out there... Luke is going to have it ; ) This child keeps me on my toes. I sure hope this isn't any indication of terrible teenage years!!!

Btw- Blair E. Batson is a wonderful hospital for chidlren. The sweet nurses and doctors took great care of us and were all so nice!

Daddy made Luke a "ball" with a glove... The two of them played ball most of the afternoon-best entertainment!!
Such a trooper

So since we had to miss all the fun at the church fall fest, we are going to make Halloween extra special for my sweet baby boy! Maybe we can convince his Papaw to hook the trailor to the 4 wheeler and make him his own special hayride for Trick or Treating!
pleeeeease, Papaw?!?!

Tailgating With the Golden Eagles!!

Saturday was full of tailgating with Luke's Uncle D and the other Southern Miss guys!  Luke had a blast running around playing and driving the golf cart all around campus!! His crazy Mama only packed pants and it was HOT...SO  HOT... So Luke just ran around in a t-shirt and diaper.
Hey, don't judge... you would have to!

watching the big boys

"My Uncle D is so much fun!"

Pumpkin Patch and Fair pics

Finally.... I'm just now able to catch up on pics from our family fun weekend to the pumpkin patch and fair last weekend!

Of course Luke never looks at the camera anymore.

I think we'll dump the sand out of Luke's sandbox and put corn in it instead. He LOVED playing in this stuff!

cutest pumpkin and sunflower in the patch!

These two had a blast!

Two peas in a pod

Well, it's Friday night and not even 10:00 and I'm ready for bed.... so sad!
Looks like this little guy played hard today...He couldn't even make it through supper.

Happy birthday to my hunky hubby!

What better way to celebrate a birthday than a day at the pumpkin patch, the fair and lunch at Logan's Roadhouse.... All with your wife and kids!! I think it's safe to say Kyle had a fun b-day weekend ( Pics coming soon!)

Luke and I went to the station today to give Kyle his homemade bday card and a blizzard from Dairy Queen!!

The Fair 2012

This was Luke's second year (well third if you count the year he was in my belly helping me eat all the yummy food!) to go to the Fair! Last year he was only 5 months old and had no clue what was going on... but this year was different. He had a BLAST!!! Thank goodness for his Papaw going so that he could take him on all the rides. Thank you, Papaw!
All the fun rides, the giant yellow slide, petting zoo, corn dog, french fries, cinnamon donuts, lemonade and cotton candy = One happy, stuffed and exhausted little boy! (Mama and Daddy, too!)

I'm not sure who had more fun... Papaw or Luke?  ; )

Hurricane Isaac VS Hurricane Luke

Luke was way more destructive than Isaac ; )

But.... Isaac left behind some pretty fun mud puddles!

Our day of sleeping in (did I mention Luke slept until 11:00?! That NEVER happens...ever!!)  playing and getting muddy was a success!
:)
