Luke's Baptism

On October 16th we celebrated the the baptism of Luke and Kyle and I joined the church!

We would like to let our friends and family know that we didn't want Ashlyn to feel left out during all of this. Since she already has a church that she's a member of we thought it would be easier for her if we did it seperate. She is VERY much a HUGE part of our life and we always include her in the things we do. When we were getting ready to welcome Luke into the world and get his new room ready, Ashlyn also got a new room with a new bed and new furniture. When she turned 6 she got a big surprise party and the other birthdays were celebrated at her choice of restaurant. These are just a couple of examples of how we always try to make her feel special and include her! We always try to be fair in everything we do and make the best decisions... Parenting isn't always easy!

I am so happy to finally be members of Crossgates United Methodist Church!!

the fair, cotton candy and grillin' out

......That's how we spent our Columbus day!! We took Luke for his first visit to the fair (ONLY b/c it was free to get in if you went before 1:00- that place is just ridiculously expensive)-and apparently everyone else decided to go, too. It was packed so we stayed just long enough to eat some good fair food- extra long pronto pup, chicken on a stick, fried snickers bar and cotton candy to go... I think I just gained 10lbs typing that!! Maybe next year we'll try the donut hamburger....NOT! That has to be one of the nastiest things ever- sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen! Anyway, it was a fun day followed by some good grillin' that night.. oh, and Luke's first taste (very small taste) of cotton candy : )

ready to go!!

hhahaha

for some reason I can't get the cotton candy pics to upload.... so stay tuned to another blog for those pics- they're too funny to miss!

Luke's 1st night in his crib

Luke did so good his first night in his crib! I know he's just a few days shy of being 5 months and he probably should have been in his crib a long time ago, but his daddy and I just weren't ready for this! Kyle and I just sat there in bed staring at the video monitor watching him sleep! Kyle said "It feels so empty without him in here with us". We put him down about 10:30 and he slept until 8:30!!! I'm loving that Luke likes to sleep late like me ; ) And he wakes up so happy (so not like me!!) He woke me up this morning by "talking" and cooing at the animals on his mobile - it was so sweet!

Luke's 3 months pics

And not just ANY three month pictures- some very special ones. Luke wore his Uncle Trey's Easter outfit. He looked so handsome wearing it- We know his Uncle Trey was smiling : )
We surprised my sweet mom-in-law with an album of all the pictures. She loved them so much she cried!  (Thank you, Ms Sheila, for letting Luke wear this outfit- It was a huge honor!)

just a few of the pics......
I love how he's holding his jacket like that. Kyle and Kris both said that Luke looks a lot like Trey in this picture : )

the biggest smile!!
